Karrie Gibson, President/CEO and Founder of Vintage Tech Recyclers explains the positive affects of e-recycling. Gibson says CRT Monitors and televisions contain almost five pounds of lead in each monitor. Those who have items they would like to recycle can drop them off at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The following items are accepted free of charge: Computers, laptops, monitors, LCDs, cell phones, printers, scanners, modems, CD drives, cables, keyboards, mice, televisions, VCRs, DVD players, camcorders, cameras, game players and joysticks, telephones, pagers, answering machines, typewriters, calculators, adding machines, fax machines and copiers.
There will be a $15 fee for tube televisions and a $25 fee for CLP and wooden console televisions.
