KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating the sexual assault of a four-year-old girl in Kansas City that occurred Thursday morning.

A witness told police after hearing the girl scream, they observed Morrison with his pants and underwear down with the child in a room of her babysitter’s home near 74th and Tracy Avenue in Kansas City, Mo.

Police said the child later told them Morrison raped and molested her. Acoording to police, Morrison was a friend of the child’s babysitter.

A relative of Morrison told FOX 4 that she was at the house where the alleged attack took place, and says that she was awakened after hearing the alleged victim crying in a laundry room.

“I went and I said, ‘What the (expletive) are you doing to this baby?’,” said the woman, who asked to be identified as “Amber.” “(The child) came from around him and she grabbed on to me, and she was crying…And I took her into the room with my parents.”

According to court documents, Amber and her brother found the child’s underwear on the kitchen floor. After she and her brother found Morrison with his pants and underwear down, they say that they began to beat him up.

Amber says that Morrison then fled the house. He was later arrested near 74th and The Paseo.
