KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Authorities in Israel have found the body of a metro man who went missing from a tour group last week.

The body of 80-year-old Herman Kuehn of Platte City was found on Tuesday in an industrial area near some ancient ruins at Beit She’an in northeast Israel, a family spokesperson confirmed to FOX 4.

Authorities in Israel say that there were no signs of foul play. According to the family, he was found about three and a half miles from ruins he was visiting with his tour group.

Kuehn had been missing since last Friday, when he was separated from his tour group during a visit to the site.

Kuehn’s wife, Mary, was with him on the tour, and is reportedly safe.
