BALTIMORE — The Kansas City Royals announced their 25-man roster for the American League Championship Series against Baltimore Orioles. It is scheduled to begin at 7:07 CT, although many are speculating what will happen when the heavy rains move in.

According to the Baltimore Sun, “In the event that Friday’s game is postponed, then Game 1 would be rescheduled for Saturday and Game 2 shifted from Saturday likely to Sunday, according to an Orioles official. Tickets to Friday’s game would be honored Saturday, and tickets for the game originally scheduled for Saturday would be honored for the rescheduled Game 2. Times for rescheduled games have not been made public.”
The Sun spoke to meteorologist Greg Schoor, who said the 100 percent rain in the forecast “doesn’t mean it’ll be raining the entire time, but there will be showers in the area.”

FOX 4 meteorologists Joe Lauria and Mike Thompson will also be tracking the storms as closely as they’re watching the Royals! Friday afternoon, they were hopeful that there could be a break in the rain that would allow the game to begin. However, the later the game goes, the more likely a downpour.
Meanwhile, Orioles manager Buck Showalter made a small adjustment to the roster. The only change is the addition of left-hander Brian Matusz and the removal of right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez.
Showalter is keeping 11 pitchers.
