GRANDVIEW, Mo. — More than two months after a terrifying attack on people in a Grandview home — police are still trying to catch the people who did it. One of the victims told FOX 4 that masked robbers broke into his house late one night– beating him with a gun and pouring hot grease all over his body.

The 57-year-old man does not want reveal his identity because the masked men are still at large.

“When I opened my door, there was somebody behind it with a black mask on and he had a gun on my head. I tried to grab the gun but somebody came up from behind and hit me in my head and knock me unconscious,” the tortured man said.

What happened next is hard for the married man of 23 years to explain. He said the masked men poured hot grease on him and took his fishing knife, warmed it up on the stove and burned him with it all over his body, including on his genitals.

“He burned me with the knife, too, he put the knife in my private area,” the man said.

With a pillowcase over his head as he laid on the dining room floor, he said he could hear the attackers torturing his son in the kitchen with hot grease and his brother being tortured with a power tool.

He said he could also hear his son’s girlfriend being raped in a nearby bedroom. Investigators said this brutality ended when one of the victims escaped to a neighbor’s house and called police.

“I’m going to have marks for the rest of my life. It affects me, it sure do, I can’t even sleep at night time,” he said.

The three men who were tortured spent several weeks in the hospital getting skin graphs and healing from their burns. We’re told it’s the emotional scars they are all still trying to deal with.
