PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. — The family of the woman who was killed when a suspect trying to elude police crashed into her car, has announced her memorial services.
Tiffany Leigh Mogenson, 30, was fatally injured on Oct. 11 when the car she was driving
was rear ended while she was stopped at the traffic light at 75th and Roe.
Roy Lee Maney, the suspect in the case, has been charged with involuntary
manslaughter/DUI for crashing his 2009 Mercedes-Benz into the back of Mogenson’s vehicle.
Mogenson’s funeral will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15 by the lake at Mt. Moriah Cemetery South located at 10507 Holmes Road in Kansas City, Mo.
Dancing was the most important part of Mogenson’s life, and her family said she never knew a time without it, continuing to dance as a Golden Girl at the University of Missouri — where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, a Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader and a director of the Missouri Mavericks’ Spirit Squad. In 2008, she was able to fulfill a lifetime dream of sharing her love of dance with others, opening The Pointe Dance Studio in Blue Springs, MO.
In liew of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a dance scholarship fund. Details will be announced at a future date.
