OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — A woman leaving a store at Oak Park Mall told police she was carjacked at about 7:45 p.m. on Friday. The victim said she was approached by a black man armed with a gun who demanded her keys and then drove away in her silver Ford Focus.
Police say the carjacking happened on the north side of the mall and say the car has Missouri tags with license plate: HJU-B1L. The only further description of the suspect is that he was thin and was wearing a black and red hoodie and a black beanie.
The woman didn’t suffer any injuries, but police are looking for her car and the suspect. If you see the car or suspect, call police or the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
