KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Sporting KC hopes you’ll remember the fun you have at the All-Star game 20 years from now. Added to the hype, SKC showed off its menu for next week’s event a little early.

“When this park is filled with people screaming and yelling, win or lose it’s a great experience,” Wade Taylor, Sporting Park Executive Chef, said.

Sporting KC hopes to translate that enthusiasm into its food. The new menu will be dished up for the MLS All-Star Game on July 31st.

But you’ll also be able to enjoy many of the new favorites during future home matches on the team’s schedule.

“With the All-Star game coming, we knew it was a great opportunity for us to kick it up and reach for that next level,” Harry Smith, Sporting Parks Food and Beverage Director, said.

That’s exactly what fans say the executive chef and his team are doing. From mac and cheese balls to a blackberry and tequila smoked beef and churrasco stations, the new creations look impressive.

“When you go to Sporting Park you get concessions on a different level. You go to another ballpark you get hotdogs and hamburgers. Which ballpark sells lobster mac and cheese,” Taylor said.

Sporting has already rolled out some of its creations during the past few games but the organization still has a few tricks up its sleeves for the All-Star game.

“We’re even gonna do some fun stuff. We’ve got tuxedo vendors that are going to be bringing lobster tails, beef carpaccio, champaigne right to the seats,” Smith said.

No matter what your taste buds are craving, Taylor said there is something for everyone.

“The part that I like most of all is when you see the food it looks so delicious you can actually taste it.” Taylor said.

If you are craving some of your regular stadium favorites, Sporting said it will still be serving up hot dogs, hamburgers, and hand-tossed pizzas.
