KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Sprint Center was the eighth-busiest arena in the nation in 2013, according to Pollstar, a concert and venue industry publication.

The top seven included arenas in Nashville, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and New York City.

Sprint Center’s 2013 calendar included Taylor Swift, P!nk, One Direction, The Eagles, Bruno Mars, Fleetwood Mac, Kid Rock, Maroon 5, Carrie Underwood, Lady Gaga and return visits by Drake, Michael Buble’, and New Kids on the Block, among others.

Worldwide, the Sprint Center is ranked 26th, according to Pollstar.

Because of its success, the Sprint Center said it provided more than $1.47 million in unanticipated revenue to the city of Kansas City, Mo.
