KANSAS CITY, Mo. — For more than 200 girls at St. Teresa’s Academy, a shorter hair length means more than just a new style! The students from the school went shorter for the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program, in partnership with the American Cancer Society.
The campaign encourages Americans to grow, cut and donate their healthy hair to create wigs for women who have lost their hair in cancer treatments.
Megan Faber had her mom, Holly, do the honors in honor of her grandmother who is a breast cancer survivor.
“I’m just happy that I’m able help people who don’t have the option of having hair at the current time, I’m happy to cut my hair if it makes them happy,” Faber said.
The students were also honoring their own principal, Mary Anne Hoecker, who is also a cancer survivor! The young ladies got their new styles at a St. Teresa’s assembly on Friday afternoon.
