KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Friday night, the Kansas City Start-Up Crawl will feature local tech companies with the hope of starting a conversation about their projects and innovations.
The crawl, scheduled to run until 9 p.m., is free and open to the public.
One of the stops on the tour, the hacker house, will offer a demonstration of Google Glass, a wearable computer that isn’t purchasable yet. Overall, event co-leader Adam Arredondo said the crawl is a time for tech innovators to network, converse, and have a good time with people who want to hear about their work.
“The main thing is just to interact with different start-ups and have an opportunity to see what they’re doing,” Arredondo said.
Start-ups flocked to Kansas City when Google Fiber came to the area. Arredondo said he is excited to see what different companies can do with Fiber.
“We still all don’t know what to do with it, but it’s really exciting and it gets people thinking and imagining what we could do with it,” he said.
