OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Police in Overland Park, Kan., are asking the public’s help identifying two robbery suspects who held up the City Thrift store near College and Antioch Wednesday night.

City Thrift is owned by City Union Mission. All of the benefits go to feeding the homeless, job training and other services.

Ward Jenkins, who works at City Thrift, said the robbery was unusual for the area, but is grateful no one was injured.

“Store was held up at gunpoint. Money was taken,” he said. “We are focusing on the fact that no one was hurt. Money can be replaced.”

Police said one of the suspect wore yellow-colored shoes. They hope that will be one of the clues that leads to an arrest.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspects is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816.474.TIPS.
