OLATHE, Kan. – A woman was allegedly attacked by her boyfriend who led police on a chase and then fled on foot.
Late Tuesday just after 11:30 p.m. Olathe police were notified by a third party that a 24-year-old woman had been assaulted with a sharp object by her boyfriend. Police searched several places attempting to locate the victim, and eventually discovered the suspect’s vehicle in the 200 block of South K-7 Highway.
Police were able to contact the suspect, but he refused to stop his vehicle and fled from officers. A short while later police lost contact with the suspect.
Police said the suspect was eventually located by another agency and again refused to stop his vehicle. Eventually the suspect crashed near northbound I-35 and 56 Highway, but then fled the scene on foot. Police were not able to apprehend the suspect at the time.
The victim was located inside of the suspect’s vehicle with non-life threatening injuries. She told police a shot time earlier she had been physically attacked by the suspect in the 800 block of East Dennis Avenue.
