Overland Park, Kan. — One person is in custody after several car break-ins at the Brownstone Apartments at 61st and Marty in Overland Park, Kan.
Police were called to the scene around 3 a.m. Tuesday and observed the suspect opening unlocked car doors. He was able to access less than five before police apprehended him. Police are checking whether there’s a connection with this suspect and dozens of other car break-ins over the last few weeks.
Sgt. Livengood stresses that people should remove valuables from their vehicles and make sure they’re locked.
