KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Already charged with 18 counts related to 12 shooting incidents on Kansas City highways, the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office announced Friday that Mohammed Whitaker has been charged with two more counts for a total of 20.

A grand jury indictment released Friday included an additional count of unlawful use of a weapon and another for armed criminal action related to a shooting that happened on March 18 in Blue Springs on Interstate 70 near 7 Highway.

Of the 18 original counts, seven counts include the unlawful use of a weapon, two counts include the unlawful use of a weapon that resulted in an injury and nine counts of armed criminal action.

Whitaker is still jail and being held on a $1 million bond.
