OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — One person was injured after an SUV went off the road and smashed into a home in southern Overland Park on Wednesday morning.
According to authorities, the SUV left the road and hit a house in 16600 block of Metcalf around 8:00 a.m. The driver of the SUV had to be extricated from the vehicle, and was taken to an area hospital with what are described as moderate injuries.
There was no word if anybody was home at the time of the accident. The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
