KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Emergency crews worked early Friday morning to clear the scene of a deadly accident that shut down part of I-635.
The accident happened a little after 1 a.m. near I-635 and Kansas Ave when an SUV hit a semi.
The top of the SUV was cut off and the driver died at the scene.
The driver of the semi was not hurt. Investigators have not yet determined what caused the crash.
