KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Thank you Kansas City!  Thank you junior class students from Center Place Restoration School in Independence, Mo. Thank you Two Men and a Truck!

Thank you Black and Veatch, Seasonal Concepts, Plato’s Closets, Husch Blackwell, and of course, CVS!!!

For the past few weeks, people have picked up their sacks at the business listed above and filled them with special gifts for teens for the Love Fund’s Sack it for Santa program. On Tuesday, Two Men and a Truck delivered those sacks to our studios and students from Center Place Restoration School in Independence helped unload them.

Now The Love Fund, which serves children and young people in the Kansas City area, will deliver them to teens who may not otherwise have a Christmas.

“The teen years are difficult at best, and to be forgotten during the “Santa” season is hard,” said Love Fund Director Lisa Herron. “These young people are fighting many obstacles in their lives and wondering if anyone does care.”

Herron said the donations exceeded expectations.  If you still want to participate in this program, you have a few more days. Click here for details about Sack It for Santa and other holiday giving programs underway.
