OLATHE, Kan. — The owners of the bronze stolen deer has been located by police.
Apparently deer season came early this year in Johnson County, Kan. Earlier this week, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department posted on their Facebook page a picture of a rather large deer statue that had been stolen, then recovered in Olathe.
They estimate the value of the bronze statue to be over $5,000, which makes the theft a felony. Police said the investigation continues.
