KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Music app Spotify has released its list of the number one songs of 2012 based on streaming from its users.
Drum roll, please… Gotye’s “Somebody I Used To Know” took top spot. The most popular male artist was David Guetta, while Rihanna held the spot for ladies. Coldplay was the most streamed band on the app in all of 2012.
Here’s a list of the top 10 songs, according to them at least:
- Gotye featuring Kimbra – “Somebody That I Used To Know”
- Carly Rae Jepsen – “Call Me Maybe”
- Fun. featuring Janelle Monáe – “We Are Young”
- Flo Rida – “Whistle”
- Flo Rida featuring Sia – “Wild Ones”
- Train – “Drive By”
- Nicki Minaj – “Starships”
- Maroon 5 featuring Wiz Khalifa – “Payphone”
- David Guetta featuring Sia – “Titanium”
- Loreen – “Euphoria”
