GRANDVIEW, Mo. — Grandview police hope you can help them identify at least one of nine suspects in a double robbery. The victim is a disabled veteran. As it turns out the victim had surveillance cameras at his home, which captured all of the suspects entering and leaving his house.
Police said the first robbery occurred Sunday. That’s when seven of the suspects are seen entering the man’s home. Police said they stole two handguns and a rifle. According to police, one of them punched the man in the head at that time.
Two days later, the video cameras captured the same elderly man being robbed again. This time one of the suspects had a gun. And this time nine people entered the victim’s home, making off with more of his weapons and ammunition.
“There’s so many suspects involved in this, we really hope given the quality of the video and the number of people involved at least some of them will be identifiable,” Sergeant Dean Van Winkle said.
Police are also looking for the red four-door Chevrolet Impala and the silver Chrysler PT Cruiser that the suspects were seen leaving in. If you have any information you’re urged to call the police or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
