COLUMBIA, Mo. — Jabari Brown scored 24 points and made a big defensive play in the final seconds of Missouri’s 75-70 victory over Tennessee.

The Tigers desperately need to string together a winning streak to improve their chances of making the NCAA Tournament. They’ve won back-to-back games for the first time since January 25 and 28.

Missouri (18-7/6-6) led the Vols by 13 with 11:05 remaining in the first half, but Tennessee quickly responded and pulled to within 41-37 at the break. The lead changed hands ten times in the second half. Brown broke a 62-62 tie with a soft shot high off the glass with 5:27 left. Mizzou held on from there.

With 7.7 seconds remaining and a 73-70 lead, Brown stole Tennessee’s inbounds pass. Johnathan Williams III grabbed the ball and made a pair of free throws for the final 5-point margin.

Mizzou hosts Vanderbilt on Wednesday.
