COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri bounced back from Thursday’s loss at last-place Vanderbilt with a 68-47 victory over Alabama.
The Tigers led 31-30 at halftime and outscored the Crimson Tide 37-17 in the second half. Jabari Brown led the way for Mizzou, scoring 24 points.
Defensively the Tigers put the clamps on Alabama’s leading scorer Trevor Releford. The senior point guard came into the game averaging 18.9 points per game. He came nowhere near that Saturday as a fouled out with 10 points.
The victory evens Mizzou’s SEC mark at 2-2. The Tigers (14-3 overall) play at LSU Tuesday night.
