KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Sick of going to the same workout classes over and over? ClassPass is new to Kansas City. It’s one pass, unlimited classes at multiple boutique studios throughout the metro.

“I hate doing the same workout over and over again,” said Caitlin Snavely, who signed up for ClassPass this week.

Many people can probably relate to 25-year-old Snavely.

“I don’t like to run, I don`t like treadmills, I don`t like doing free standing weights,” Snavely said.

That’s why Snavely uses ClassPass. It’s been around in 28 other cities, and it’s made its debut right here in Kansas City.

“I wanted to check out a couple of the boutique workout centers in Kansas City, because I actually haven`t had a chance to,” said Snavely.

ClassPass members can book unlimited workout classes at boutique fitness studios across the metro. There are more than 1,000 classes available for $79 a month, including cycling, yoga, and dance.

“There are people like me that like to workout at multiple boutique studios, and this is a great way for them to try out different studios without being committed,” said Snavely.

Amanda Rismiller is the co-founder of Mojo cycling, which is one of many studios in Kansas City participating in this new program.

“Your body needs to rest, it needs to recover, and people may get bored doing one thing over and over, so they need variety and that`s what keeps it interesting, that`s what keeps them coming back,” said Rismiller.

Mojo Cycling’s new location is opening on the plaza in six weeks, and Rismiller says this is a great way to reach new clients, as does Darryl Olive, the owner of KCFitness Link, who is also participating.

“So if someone has been hesitating about experiencing maybe Zumba or yoga, then this is a risk free way of trying different formats in different places,” Olive said.

ClassPass users can visit any studio in their network up to three times per studio per month, giving you the option of trying something new every single day.

“There`s a $20 fee if you don`t show up to class, and in some ways I feel like it`s a good initiative for me to actually stick to my workout,” Snavely said.
