KANSAS CITY, Mo. — On Sunday thousands came out to the 26th annual Trolley Run benefiting the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired, or CCVI.

A rather significant attendee of the event was Gian LaManno, who came out to honor his mom, Teri LaManno, who was tragically killed outside Village Shalom just over two weeks ago, while she was visiting her mother . In the video above, Gian tells FOX 4 what it means to him to come out and support the CCVI in honor of his mother.

Another family also came out to support the CCVI. Their little girl, Lydia, attends the center, and they say it has helped her tremendously. Several of their friends and family, including members of their church, came out to participate and support them on Sunday.
