INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — Due to sequestration, the National Park Service has implemented closures that will affect the Harry S Truman National Historic Site in Independence, Mo.
The site said they will be closed on Sundays, Mondays and federal holidays. Closures take effect on March 24.
The Truman Farm Home in Grandview, Mo., which traditionally opens for tours during the summer, will no longer be open to the public. The grounds will remain open, but tours of the historic farm home are no longer possible, officials said.
The Noland Home, located across the street from the Truman Home in Independence, also be closed, the parks service said.
