It might just be the sweetest comeback ever. Twinkies and other Hostess brands will return to store shelves on July 15.
Hostess says the cakes will taste the same. They will be changing the packaging to add the tag line “The Sweetest Comeback In The History Of Ever.”
Hostess went bankrupt last year after a battle with Union workers. Metropoulos & Co. and Apollo Global Management bought Twinkies and other Hostess cakes for $410 million.
Now the company is up and running again under new ownership. The new company known as Hostess Brands LLC is headquartered in Kansas City.
