KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A suspected gunman surrendered to police early Wednesday morning after a precautionary standoff.
Police said that at about midnight, a man pulled out a gun during a dispute between neighbors at 34th and Park. After shooting at the neighbor, the man then ran into a house. Unsure if the person was still armed, and uncertain about the other people inside the house, police surrounded the house for an “Operation 100.” As the tactical team was setting up, the man surrendered peacefully about two hours later, at 2 a.m.
The man who was shot suffered a minor injury. Police cleared the scene by about 5:30 a.m.
