KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating after a shooting at a Northland apartment complex on Sunday afternoon left two people injured.
According to Kansas City Missouri Police, two people were shot and one person is in custody following the incident at the Wau Lin Cree Apartments in the 3900 block of NW 82nd Street around 2:30 p.m. Police say that the victims, identified as a male and female, were shot following a dispute outside the apartment.
Police say that the victims drove themselves to an area hospital, where they received treatment for what was described as non-life threatening injuries.
The identity of the suspect or the motive behind the shooting have not been released, but authorities say that everybody involved in the shooting is related.
