Mission, Kan. —  A business in Mission is hit by vandals for a third time. The owner, Scott Booz believes copper is the motive behind the crimes. He installed surveillance cameras, but now he wants to wait to watch the video of the culprits.

The owner of ‘Scott the Electrician’ added flood lights and several security cameras, recording 24-7.  Booz is hoping the newly installed camera security system caught who is responsible, but he plans to wait for detectives to figure out how to play back the video of the vandals so the evidence isn’t deleted.

“I don’t know, what can you do? I mean it’s always been a safe place to live in Mission,” said Scott Booz.. “I live in Prairie Village, I love being here, but I don’t know how to secure it any farther. Do we put a security guard there 24 hours a day?  I don’t know what to do at this point.”

Police are in the early stages of the investigation. Booz tells us the damage, along with the cost of the new security is already above $10,000.
