KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Shots rang out Sunday afternoon at an Eastside apartment complex.  One of the people that was hit by gunfire was there helping a friend move.

Police were called to the Park Highland Apartments after several shots were fired.

The victim told police he was approached by two men.  They exchanged words when one of the men pulled a gun.

During an ensuing struggle, several shots were fired and the victim was stuck by a bullet.

Polce say a short time after the shooting, a second person showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound.  The man said he wasn’t at the aparment complex, but police believe he may be a person of interest in the shooting.

No one is in custody and none of the injuries to either person was considered life threatening.
