OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — The Jewish Community Center was on lockdown until shortly after 3 p.m. on Sunday due to an active shooter in their parking lot.
There is a gym at that location, which witnesses say is typically very busy during the weekend. Several witnesses say they took cover in the locker rooms of the building, including FOX 4’s Melissa Stern, who was at the scene when the shootings broke out.
