KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An accident involving a semi-truck brought I-35 to a crawl Monday morning.
The semi, carrying a load of plastic forks, flipped on its side in the southbound lane of I-35 at Jarboe.
Police now say no other cars were involved in the accident.
The driver was not injured, even though he slammed into the concrete median barrier and flipped the rig.
“Considering that part of the jersey barriers went into the oncoming traffic in the northbound lanes, and nobody got hurt, it’s hard to believe,” said Sgt. Grant Ruark, with the KCMO Traffic Department.
All three southbound lanes were closed and two northbound lanes were closed at 11:00 a.m. Monday morning as crews tried to clear the scene.
