PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. — A water main break near 82nd and Roe caused the ground to cave in and create a sink hole, closing off the streets there and affecting about eight homes.
The call came in at about one a.m. Wednesday morning. Water officials with Water One said the break in is an 8-inch water main line.
Water was expected to be restored later in the morning.
Mandy Cawby, spokesperson for Water One encourged residents who have Water One to sign up for their alert system at www.notifyjoco.org.
