RAYTOWN, Mo. — A Raytown boil order has been lifted. On Wednesday residents were advised to boil their water for at least the next 24 hours because of low water pressure in the area. By Thursday morning, water in Raytown was deemed safe to drink again.
In Lee’s Summit, residents remain under a mandatory water restriction. That means no unessential use of water, which means thirsty lawns will have to go without. Lee’s Summit officials are concerned that its storage levels are getting too low.
After 26 hours without any water from Kansas City, Mo., due to a pump failure in Kansas City, Lee’s Summit was only able to replenish half its supply. A water main break in Kansas City is limiting the supply further.
