KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After sharing a story from FOX 4 sister station KCPQ in Tacoma, Washington, in which a viewer sent in a picture of a mysterious spider and asked for help in identifying it, we decided to solicit your spider pictures from the Kansas City area.
Truth be told, we regret that a little. If you can help identify any of these, please do. Note the picture from one of our facebook fans, Linda Fann. She posted a spider and asked “What is this?” Another FOX 4 facebook fan (Mandy Ratcliffe) replied: “It’s a mama wolf spider with hundreds of babies on her back.”

The Banana spider (Nephila clavipes) is also known as a Golden Orb Weaver. Sorry the picture is a little blurry, I have a slight fear of spiders and wasn't going to get closer for a clearer picture ;) 
This huge garden spider took up residence in the frame of my front door. She stayed there all summer and into the fall. It was okay as I have plenty of other doors to use.

Shortly after taking this picture, my camera actually randomly broke… seriously... 
we find these on a daily basis everywhere in the house. I have even caught a couple and Identified them as brown recluse 
The Smiley spider simply wished to say Happy Birthday to my son. So he dropped onto my sons head during the birthday party, simultaneously scaring over 30 guests. 
It's a big one. 
Measured 3 inches. I found it in the kitchen sink, and captured it to let it go.
