KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Flu season is here. There are hundreds of places that offer vaccinations in the Greater Kansas City area. In Kansas City along, there are more than 50 places where you can get a flu shot, and that doesn’t include your doctor’s office.
Health officials say there’s no excuse not to get one. People six months old and older are able to get vaccinated. A nasal spray vaccine is offered to healthy children ages 2-8 years old.
The Center for Disease Control says getting vaccinated by October — right at the start of the flu season — is ideal.
