MILLE LACS LAKE, Minn. — Strong winds and breaking ice leads to a strange site on Mille Lacs Lake in Minnesota.
Forty mile-per-hour winds pushed large shards of ice ashore and up against townhouses.
A similar, but more severe event happened Friday night at Dauphin Lake in Central Manitoba, Canada, when ice pushed ashore by northwest winds destroyed 12 homes and cottages and damaged 15 more.
