KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police have identified the woman who was found shot to death inside a car Thursday morning. Ashley Gilbert, 21, was found in a parked car at the corner of Independence Avenue and Hardesty near a McDonald’s in Kansas City, Mo.
Authorities said they received a call after midnight about a car accident in the area, but when they arrived they discovered Gilbert, dead from gunshot wounds inside a parked car.
Officers are investigating the incident as a homicide.
