KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Many spent the morning lining up outside a Kansas City venue for a chance to see the President speak.

Crowds gathered on both sides of the street Wednesday morning near the Uptown Theater located at 3700 Broadway Street, in Kansas City. Next to the theater many were lined up waiting with anticipation and excitement to get inside the theater to see President Obama speak, while across the street protesters lined up holding signs displaying various messages, some negative, aimed at the Commander-in-chief.

The President is expected to give a speech about the economy around 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Uptown Theater.
