NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A new study shows hope in the fight against obesity.
Scientists at Vanderbilt are creating bacteria that act as a therapeutic compound in the gut. It prevents weight gain, even in high-fat diets. But all of it is being done with probiotics, a lot like the ones you can find in your yogurt. So far it’s only been tested on mice.
The complete study is on Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s website.
