Jadon has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) type 1 and we gave up on any hopes of being part of a little league baseball team. 90% of kids with this disease don't live to be two. The Bad News Bears took Jadon in and made him part of the team. In this picture the Bears are singing Happy Birthday to Jadon after he "ran" the bases to a cheering crowd. This was an AWESOME day. This is an awesome group of kids.

The Bad News Bears cheering on their teammate Jadon "Bug" Burks as he rounds the bases. Jadon has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) which confines him to a wheelchair and allows him very limited mobility. But he still enjoys a good game of Olathe Youth little league baseball and is part of the team! GO BEARS!

I was at the Home Opener and snapped this picture and if you look at the big screen it looks to be a father and son enjoying themselves having fun! I won a sales contest at work and the prize was a week @ Royals Dream Week in Florida at a place called Boardwalk & Baseball. My team's coach was Cookie Rojas and it was so cool to hang with him, John Mayberry, Marty Patton, Clint Hurdle, Dennis Leonard, Willie Wilson, Jamie Quirk and many more! We even got our own baseball card - pictured here!
