KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Mmmm, barbecue! On Thursday, we featured L.C.’s BBQ during the morning show for our BBQ week. Owner L.C. Richardson and cook Kevin Page shared their recipes for burnt ends, beans and fried green beans.

RECIPES:

Burnt Ends: Season the fat side of brisket from end to end with 1 oz garlic, 3 ozs salt, ready to cook with fat side down on 400 degrees for 1/2 hr then 250 degrees for 8-12 hours.

Baked Beans: 1 gal can of pork and beans, mix in 1 pint of brown sugar, 1 pint of molasses, 1 pint of LC’s BBQ sauce, chop 1 pint of brisket meat fine, 1 tsp of wright’s smoke, stir and cook until done.

Fried Green Beans: Use fresh green beans. Roll in seasoned flower. Dip in buttermilk. Finish it with Japanese bread crumbs and fry. Freeze after breading to stiffen them up.
