KANSAS CITY, Mo. — From bad…to worst.  The Chiefs are now the first NFL team since 1940 to not lead at any time in the first seven games – and after another loss at home on Sunday, fans are fired up and they’re not staying quiet.

From banners and websites to an effort to ‘Blackout Arrowhead’ they’re demanding to be heard.

“We have a lot of work to do and we need to get rid of our turnovers, we need to get rid of our quarterback and our GM,” said Chief’s fan Jean Eischeid from Carrollton, Missouri.

Fan JR Wells from Lee’s Summit says he’s still wearing his Chief’s red and still enjoys coming out to games, but says the product on the fields got to get better.

“Really, we’re looking forward to a better draft pick so maybe we should start rooting for the opposite team right now,” he said.

The Facebook page, ‘Save Our Chiefs’ gets bigger every day. It’s described as, ‘a group of fans dedicated to changing the culture at Arrowhead and returning a winning team to Kansas City.’ At last check Monday afternoon it had nearly 8,000 ‘likes’.

The creator of the page is also behind the effort to ‘Blackout Arrowhead’.  Sports Nutz in independence is carrying the black gear. Employees say it’s becoming a best seller.

So, is anyone listening? When asked about if he had anything to say to fans in Monday’s press conference head coach Romeo Crennel said, “I understand their frustrations because I’m frustrated myself you know and what we’re doing, coaches players, we’re continuing to work to try to get it right and if they’ll just hang with us something will change.”

And, change is exactly what fans are looking for.

The Chiefs leave for San Diego this week to take on the Chargers on Thursday night.
