DENVER, Co. — It’s been 11 months since the Chiefs have lost a regular season football game, and Andy Reid had never lost a game as the Chiefs head coach, until Sunday.

The Chiefs fell to the Denver Broncos 27-17 in a match-up of the two teams with the best records in the AFC, and the AFC West.

Both teams are now 9-1, but the Broncos hold the tiebreaker over the Chiefs by way of their win Sunday night at Sports Authority Field.

The Chiefs could muster just one touchdown, an Alex Smith to Dwayne Bowe pass in the second quarter. Denver on the other hand, got one touchdown pass from Peyton Manning, and two rushing touchdown.

Denver’s offense wasn’t productive all night, but it produced points at crucial times during the contest.

The Chiefs return to Arrowhead next week for the first time in a month and host the San Diego Chargers.
