KANSAS CITY, Mo. – It’s that time of year where football season starts to share some of the headlines with the upcoming college basketball season. On Tuesday, many coaches and players dedicated their time to the fight against cancer.
This is the 20th year former Missouri coach Norm Stewart has been out front in his efforts against the deadly disease. Stewart is the founding father of ‘Coaches vs. Cancer.’
On Tuesday evening Stewart and his wife, Virginia, are getting help from the likes of current Missouri head coach Frank Haith, Kansas State’s Bruce Weber, UMKC’s Kareem Richardson, Wichita State’s Gregg Marshall and KU’s Bill Self at the ‘Coaches vs. Cancer’ tipoff reception.
That’s a lot of coaches’ power, led by Stormin’ Norman himself.
