LAWRENCE, Kan. — KU jumped out to a 13-0 lead over Oklahoma on Saturday, but the Sooners rallied for a 34-19 victory in Lawrence. The Jayhawks (2-4/0-3) have now lost 24 straight conference games.

Trailing 13-0 early in the second quarter, the Sooners scored 25 straight points. They grabbed the momentum and the lead for good in the second quarter when wide receiver Lacoltan Bester took an end-around and passed to Sterling Shepard for a 49-yard touchdown. A James Sims touchdown run early in the fourth quarter cut the OU lead to 25-19. But the Sooners put it away on a Damien Williams score with 4:19 left.

Sims ran for 129 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Jake Heaps was just 5 of 13 for 16 yards passing, the fewest yards through the air for Kansas since throwing for 15 yards in a loss to Nebraska in 2010.
