VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Playing in a rare Sunday night game in primetime, Sporting KC saw its road win streak snapped at five matches with a 2-0 loss at Vancouver.

The Whitecaps watched as Sporting’s Igor Juliao scored an own goal in the game’s 17th minute. Then, Darren Mattocks scored another goal for the home team in the 39th minute.

Sporting hadn’t lost a match since late May. Next up are three home matches over the next three weekends against teams from the MLS Eastern Conference for Sporting, starting with Toronto FC on Saturday.
