KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Major League Baseball All-Star FanFest is coming in July to Bartle Hall, and MLB will be hosting theme days as part of the festivities – giving FanFest ticket holders a chance to win special prizes that go along with that day’s theme.

MLB FanFest will be held from July 6-10 at Bartle Hall. The 2012 MLB All-Star Game will be held at Kauffman Stadium on July 10 at 7:00 p.m., and can be seen on FOX 4.

Friday, July 6 – Military Appreciation Day presented by Bank of America
Opening Day at MLB FanFest will honor members of the armed forces. Fans will be able to send thank you cards and record a video message to members of the armed forces. The first  1,000 eligible fans will receive a limited-edition military patch.

Saturday, July 7 – Kids Day
A fun-filled family day of activities. Fans can get an autograph and take a photo with their favorite MLB team mascot and also see the giant-sized World Series trophy in the Rookie Leagues attraction. They will be able to make their own baseball trading card and enjoy face painters, balloon artists and the All-Star FanFest magic show. The first 1,000 eligible children between the ages of 4 and 18 will recieve a limited- edition “Sluggerrr” figurine.

Sunday, July 8 – Kansas City Tribute Day presented by Firestone
Tribute Day will feature the sights and sounds of Kansas City with live performances by local jazz and country artists. In addition, former Major Leaguers Jose Azcue (Kansas City A’s) and Buck Martinez will be inducted into the Hispanic Heritage Baseball Museum. The first 1,000 eligible fans will receive a limited-edition All-Star FanFest Commemorative Coin.

Monday, July 9 – Legacy Day
Legacy Day will feature players from the Negro Leagues, including Hall of Famer Ernie Banks, Monte Irvin, Minnie Miñoso, Jesse Rodgers, Ulysses Hollimon and Ernest Johnson. The first 1,000 eligible fans will receive a Legacy Day Tumbler.

Tuesday, July 10 – All-Star Legends Day
Legends Day will celebrate Kansas City hosting its third All-Star Game. The day will feature a number of former All-Stars, including players from the 1960 and 1973 All-Star teams. The first 1,000 eligible fans will receive a limited-edition George Brett bobble head. A Legends Day “Two for Tuesday” ticket deal, which includes two free tickets with the purchase of two full-price tickets is now available.
